Exam Management in Current Scenario

Updated: Apr 10, 2022

Throughout the decades there has been immense growth in the education sector. From 1951 to 2018, the combined literacy rates have increased from 18.33% to 74.37%, and the major contributor to this transformation is the advancement in technology and teaching methods. As per a report by Grand View Research, Inc. “The global digital education market size is expected to reach USD 77.23 billion by 2028. The market is anticipated to register a CAGR of 30.5% from 2021 to 2028”, which makes it quite evident that Digital education has become the new norm in the lives of most learners, educators, and working professionals.

After the pandemic struck, educational techniques like online examinations, classes, assessments, and courses became popular. By employing these methods educators were able to impart education effectively and a learner was empowered to constantly learn and develop. Nonetheless, it has been challenging for educational institutions to examine the quality of education, owing to the remote learning setup. Moreover, the institutions have carried forward the idea of using classrooms as exam-rooms, for instance, to serve the purpose of conducting online classes, most of the institutions use applications such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and so on.

These platforms serve primarily as video conferencing applications, but most of the institutes use these applications for online examination conduction alongside other basic tools such as Google Forms and other data collection tools. They do not support the following features collectively, such as:

  • Internet-independent exam conduction.

  • Performance analysis of a learner.

  • Adaptive exam conduction.

  • Integrated write and scan option for subjective exams.

  • AI-powered proctoring solutions.

  • Support for diverse question formats, multiple languages, and media types.

It is strenuous and time-consuming for the institutions to keep up with this kind of approach, as it hinders the process of effective examination management. Hence, there is a need for an application that can make digital education sustainable in the future. So, is this future attainable wherein both the institution and student can trust the examination quality? Our platforms, Promexa (for students) and Promexa Institution (for educational organizations) make it certainly possible. Promexa Institution lets the schools and institutions efficiently manage sizable exams, conduct adaptive assessments, automatically analyze and generate easy-to-digest reports for multiple section assessments.

Promexa also makes sure that every student, irrespective of facilities like laptops/PCs and a stable internet connection, has a seamless and engaging exam experience. Additionally, with the AI-powered proctoring feature, the educators and management do not have to proctor manually, which saves time and increases their productivity as well, because as the education sector evolves, we ensure that the education providers also evolve along with it.
